It’s got a flat bottom steering wheel so you know it’s sporty lol. This vehicle feels oddly current yet outdated at the same time . Maybe my opinion will change after a few days..we’ll see.
The GTI is in the shop getting a new rear bumper. Shouldn’t take more than 2 days unless they find more damage, which I doubt.

Definitely Nissan. I recognize the shape of the steering wheel for one, but the buttons on the dash (trunk release and fuel door release) are dead giveaways. Given the trunk release looks like it’s a powered liftgate, I’m going to guess a Nissan Rogue?

Looks like you got stuck with a Nissan Rogue. I'm sorry

Right! It feels so sporty! Thank God, since my GTI has a flat bottom wheel, I would’ve been upset with out it. /s

This should be a thing.

Had a rental Altima a couple weeks ago. It had CarPlay and forward collision warning, but also steel wheels and hubcaps lol.
It was pretty comfortable and the handling wasn’t too bad, but the steering was so bizarrely light and disconnected that c oming back to my car made my steering feel ridiculously heavy.
All in all not too bad for a rental car, but not something I’d really advocate anyone to spend their money on in that segment.

I think I’ll do a write up after I have this for a few days. It’s totally acceptable for most people, I just don’t really care for it.

I’ve only driven this like 10 miles so I’ll have some better thoughts in a few days, but it seems like a fine vehicle for most people.
This one is fully loaded, which I appreciate. Heated seats and wheel are nice and it’ll be interesting to play with the safety stuff/adaptive cruise.
So far though the steer on this feels about like you’re describing. It’s just very light and vague - disconnected like you said. I guess for most people that’s okay, but I miss my cars steering and I make fun of it for being too light.

I just got back from Orlando and had a rental Rogue. Ugh. Terrible. That steering wheel was probably the best part of it. Not sure what the worst was, but the headrest that either pushes hard against my head making my neck hurt or if I took it out and put it in backwards and basically didn’t exist is near the top of the list. Can’t believe that people buy these things by choice.

I haven’t driven long enough to notice the headrests, but I’m not a big fan of these seats, at least initially . I reclined mine a good but because it had too much lumbar for me even with the actual lumbar support receded all the way in. Ugh.
The infotainment is interest ing. It works okay, has carplay, and the 360 degree camera is cool, but did you notice how low-res the screen is? It looks terrible.

People don’t buy them because they want them. They buy them because they’re really cheap, saddled with them because they are the cheapest car that ticks the boxes for a rental car class, or they’re fleet vehicles purchased for some other reason and issued to some poor sucker.

I play the rental car roulette every month or so. I always try to avoid nissans when I can.

I tried to get out of it mainly because it was almost too large for my garage, but they didn’t have anything else. It was meh for two days haha.
